Laser Cladding

Laser Cladding also known as Laser Metal Deposition ( LMD) is a form of Additive Manufacturing process wherein the Metal Powder is melted by Laser and deposited on to the Substrate Metal.

Characteristics:

  • True Metallurgical Bond

  • Low & Directed Heat Input by Lasers

  • Less Distortion and Smaller HAZ

  • Automated Process Control

  • Minimum Post Processing

  • Same or Superior Material Properties

Applications:

  • Optimal Part Designs by Dissimilar Metal Deposition

  • Ideal for Product Development

  • Value Added Repair & Restoration

  • Material Research & Development

  • Used on Wide Range of Metals & Alloys
